Cross Country - -Taylor knocked 30 seconds off of his time last week. His PR last year was 19:20 and he just ran an 18:49 in Twin Falls. Watch for more . . . State is in a few weeks.
Spencer is the starting safety for the Freshman Football Team. He also plays tight end, running back, and kicks.
Grant is a cornerback for East Valley. He also plays on the offensive line, kick-off & kick return

Taylor took Breanna out to the farm this morning to ride 4-wheelers. Of course it had to be the day where it was about 35 degrees and then the wind on top of it, taking down into the twenties. They had fun anyways and then joined several of their friends for dinner and the dance tonight. I think they had a great time!

Today is the first day back to school. Summer FLEW by and as sad as that is, I am really looking forward to getting back on a schedule. This is the first time in over 16 years that I will not have a child at home during the day. Just so you know, I didn't cry this morning when I dropped the kids off at school!! This time of year brings lots of activities to our family. Taylor runs on Columbia's varsity cross-country team, Spencer is on the freshman football team, Grant plays football for East Valley and M'Kay is starting his first year of tackle! (Yea . . . no more flag football!) It is sure to be a great year!
Grant's Favorite Cereal is Reese Puffs! Usually they just get one box of their favorite, but since I just hit an amazing deal at Albertsons and paid pennies for each box I decided to splurge!
Grant is our "dutch-oven" master!!! Every Sunday he makes some type of dessert, usually a cobbler or chocolate cake. He is hooked up now for a while!

Today McCall decided that it was time to give another little girl her hair. Mom thought we were going in for a trim, but McCall announced that she wanted to cut it to her chin and donate her ponytail! Mom was the one who was a little sad to see her hair go, but so proud of her for wanting to give it to Locks of Love. Doesn't she look darling?
Columbia High School Wrestling TeamTonight was our High School Wrestling Banquet!!! Of course wrestling is pretty much year round in our family, but at least the stress of the high school season is done for a little bit. Taylor had a great year but fell a little short on his goals. He has lettered & made it to state both his freshman and sophomore year, but the medal stand has eluded him. It is back to the weight room and "off-season" wrestling in hopes of reaching some of those goals next year. As his parents, we are super proud of him and his work ethic. He is a good student and an all around great son. Anyone who can endure getting their ear drained 7 times in one season must be dedicated! Congratulations Taylor on your achievements!
